Karim Kharbouch, known professionally as French Montana, is a Moroccan-American rapper and songwriter. He first gained popularity in the late 2000s and early 2010s with his hit single "Pop That," which helped establish him as a prominent figure in the rap industry. Since then, Montana has released several successful albums and has collaborated with a number of high-profile artists, including Drake, The Weeknd, and Cardi B.

Montana was born on November 9, 1984, in Rabat, Morocco. He immigrated to the United States with his family when he was 13 years old and settled in the South Bronx, New York. Montana began rapping at a young age and released his first mixtape, French Revolution Vol. 1, in 2007.

In 2012, Montana released his debut studio album, Excuse My French, which featured the hit single "Pop That" and collaborations with Rick Ross, Drake, and Lil Wayne. The album was a commercial success, reaching the top of the Billboard Rap Albums chart and the fourth spot on the Billboard 200.
